Another year below and I am here to summarize the year that was 2024!

Here we are again! Every year, that happens seems to go faster and faster, but I suppose it is part of aging. It seems that I have simply blinked to write the same publication last year and we are here trying to do the same again; Summarize the last 12 months as briefly as possible and share some of my favorite images.

I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas and I hope everyone has a great new year!

For anyone who wants to take a look at time before immersing us, I will link the previous years below. I love making these publications, since it is a great opportunity to refresh my memories of the past years.

2024

2024 began in a maximum with a March trip to Madeira with Jet2holidays. I began to worry that my days as a trip blogger were numbered by not having reserved press trips, but practically as soon as 2024 began, I was making arrangements to travel to Madeira. It was the first time that he visited the island, so it was great to be shown by the Tourism Board; He would definitely take the family in the future.

He had great hope for the year after he had started so well. I had organized a deer in Prague for my best companion Alex and we had many more plans to travel with Evelyn. Unfortunately, I just went and completely broke Achilles playing football on Thursday night. I played week for approximately one year just for this to happen two weeks after the deer. It has been a very long recovery; My body had to grow again and join my broken tendon.

So the summer of 2024 was almost completely annihilated. I am sure that you can imagine that it was not the best of time, but … but … some extremely good things happened.

First, we hope that our second child is the day after Evelyn’s third birthday, which will be a very interesting start for 2025. Evelyn can’t wait to be an older sister, bless her!

I was able to walk at the wedding era of my best companion Alex, thank God; We had a crunch wedding and I am quite sure that my speech fell extremely well haha!

In the days after my injury, we both began to think about planning something big in terms of travel for the end of the year to help me strive to recover my best. If you have been following on social networks, you may have already seen the photos, but we went to Japan for 14 nights for our last family trip like three. Honestly, I’m still trying to process everything: it was an absolute dream come true visiting Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. Much more to come on the blog of the trip, so be attentive!

My outstanding aspects of 2024

The year as a travel blogger

2024 has been quite good for my trip blog trip in terms of my blog’s strength itself. As long as I did not get carried away with a lot of press trips; I did not get at all thanks to being practically out of action for most of the year. It meant that unfortunately I lost myself in some of the events of the travel blog community to which I promised me that I would go to this year.

I always have an objective every year to publish 52 publications, equivalent to a publication every week, and for the first time I achieved this with little stress. In total, including this publication, I managed to write and publish 60, which is incredible. As I said before, I had a lot of time in my hands this year; I actually managed to clear my request for orders. I finished around 30 publications that cover my time in Australia and found so many publications that I intended to write for years. He felt really well.

In terms of page views, I am looking to finish the view in around 430,000 views of a mass increase of 277% of 2023. That is crazy! In a world where Google I said travel blogs, I felt that I did it relatively well until August, when I definitely saw that things slowed down. It is only literally in the last days that I return to the views before August per day. That little collection is enough to continue pressing!

I also got Mediavine to accept me in Journey, but I made the decision of around 42,000 sessions of not continuing and just waiting for Mediavine properly, if I ever get there. Some bloggers are doing very well to diversify their income flows, but, for me, I think that if the advertising revenues arrived first, I would feel more cheeky to consider spending more time on the blog.

My five most popular publications of 2024

In previous years, I would always be establishing the same type of publications below, but this year I could promote more of my publications purely travel instead of photography. Therefore, my five most popular publications of 2024 are:

10 best restaurants in paphos, chipre
My Fujifilm X-T5 JPEG configuration
Fujifilm X100F: The best I’ve held in my hands
Fujifilm X-T5 long-term review
The 8 best restaurants in Faro, Portugal

What follows?

2025 It will be a very interesting year since we, all well, welcome our second child to the world and become a family of four (plus Chester dog). I am not sure if we handle any trip in the first half of the year, but you never know that we could boost our fate for the end!

I have plans to venture in the world of cinema/videos, but we will only see how I do. It is quite difficult to stay at the top of the blog and much less social networks and then another creative exit.

So, if it’s quiet for a moment, you know why and I’m sure you’ll not blame me! However, if there is something you want to see more, let’s know and see if I can make it happen.

Thank you, as always, to you, readers, are the reason why this is still so strong after all these years.

See you in 2025!

Jamie
