Tokyo’s first visitor will undoubtedly be overwhelmed with the choice of where to stay. I am here to help with my review of the excellent hotel section; Monday apart from Ginza Shintomicho Premium.
In November 2024, we finally managed to realize a dream of a lot of time visiting Japan for the first time and, for anger that this could sound, it also brought our two -year -old daughter! I have so much to say about our time in Japan that I could speak indefinitely about it, but I will keep it brief and sweet here. I, my wife and two -year -old girl spent 14 nights in Japan traveling to Osaka, Kioto and Tokyo and, honestly, was incredible as beyond words. Our last eight nights passed them in Tokyo in a variety of different hotels in different places to try to maximize, the best possible, our time in the world’s largest city.
When I planned our trip for the first time to Japan, I felt overwhelmed when I was about choosing a location and a hotel in Tokyo, but I am very happy to have found the section of section; Monday apart from Ginza Shintomicho PremiumIn an area a few steps from Ginza. When traveling with a little one, it does not always make sense to reserve 5 -star hotels with roof bars and a private fool. Once this is exactly where I would like to spend my time, but today I need something much more practical. Somewhere with space to allow a room to play for young children, space for suitcases to live and, if you are very lucky, a kitchen to prepare yourself and its own laundry facilities to get the pain of multiple washing loads when you return home. Fortunately, I found everything we needed for an introduction without stress to Tokyo in this hotel separately and I am here to tell them everything about our stay.
I stayed two nights on Monday apart from Ginza Shintomicho, of which one night was free in exchange for a review and coverage of social networks. As always, all opinions are mine.

The room
On the ninth floor of the hotel, we recorded in our upper family room with its twin beds, folding literas, a small kitchen, dining table, laundry area and a separate bath and bathroom. All that, a home away from home, spread more than 33 m², much larger than most rooms offered throughout Japan. As soon as I opened the door to our room I knew that we had found a good one; crashing almost immediately in our beds after a long day traveling from Kyoto and exploring Shibuya.
I found the room extremely clean, the comfortable beds and the powerful shower. This is a hotel that is proud to be a home away from home; It is simple, it has nothing to be simple, and it works. I felt nothing more than comfortable inside this hotel and I know that our little girl also did. It really helps when he travels as a family knowing that he has a spacious and familiar place to relax when he returns home of an occupied day exploring; You always want the best for your little child, right? Ha!
Literas are also a great addition, especially for families with older children. Evelyn ended up sleeping in our bed, but there was still a lot of space to make sure we all had good night.
Another great addition to this room was its own private washing machine/dryer. Instructions were provided in English, which meant that we could refresh the majority of our clothes, although the drying of said clothes was a bit more complicated. I imagine that if you stay here, or in the other places of the brand, throughout your stay in Japan, access to laundry will really be useful, especially if Luz Puls first. Suggestion: You should definitely try to pack the light, nobody wants to carry heavy suitcases by stairs and try to tighten them in packaged subway lines or buy a third suitcase to fit in all your purchases.
Hopefully we have another opportunity to visit Japan and I would love to stay again in one of the hotels in Monday, depending on the cities that we visit below, since it really is the perfect place to settle for a few weeks at the same time. Even exploring Tokyo for a week, we would not change the hotels so much and we would choose to stay here for all the time.

LOCATION
This hotel is actually more conveniently located than I might think at first glance. It is located in a very quiet area of Tokyo only twenty minutes from the southeast of Ginza. It is worth noting that, although we had only been in Tokyo for half a day before arriving at the hotel, I really appreciated how peaceful the surroundings were. There are no great crowds here!
Next to being well located to walk Ginza and Tsukiji, I found the hotel perfectly located about three quiet subway stations. We use the hatchobori station on numerous occasions thanks to the fact that it was on the Keiyo line, just a stop from the Tokyo station; Opening the entire Tokyo just six minutes on foot!
Our first afternoon in Tokyo was spent in Shibuya, on Friday, so you can imagine how busy everything felt. We could not travel to themselves along the always popular Yamanotes line, so, thanks to Google Maps, we found a much quieter route from Shinya to Shin-Kiba before returning to Hatchobori. Anything that moves you away from the super busy meters with a two -year -old child is a shipment of God. He also really helped when he moved to Tokyo Disney Resort with two suitcases, since we didn’t need to navigate to Tokyo station (and the incredibly long walk to the Keiyo line); We were directly in Hatchbori and directly in Maihama. During the two nights that we spent in this hotel, we could not have wanted a better location to explore Shbibya and Shinjuku, more on the train, but the quieter area allows you to rest a little, relaxation and recharge before boarding more from Tokyo with a small one.
My key essential, when they try to reduce where to stay in Tokyo, are simply; Near the subway station with fast connections to a ‘main line’, quiet area and somewhere to explore a short distance. On Monday apart from Ginza Shintomicho Premium puts a great brand in each of those boxes and, therefore, I would not hesitate to say that this hotel is in an absolutely excellent location, if you do not care a bit to travel to reach the ‘access points’ and favor somewhere quieter.

Our experience
We stayed in Monday apart from Ginza Shintomicho Premium in the course of a weekend; Friday to Sunday. On Friday, we traveled from Kyoto at Shinkansen before looking at Tokyo on Shbuya Sky. A great introduction to this mega city. Thanks to Yamato’s unmatched service, our luggage was waiting for us when we arrived after the sun had put itself. We could not face more walking, so we use Google Maps to find Sristi, an Indian and Nepalese restaurant, literally a few minutes on foot. This was a great finding in a basement (probably) of the 70s, full of Japanese salarymen who presumably celebrate the end of another work week, but with space for our little family and happily we got into a delicious Indian food. I know that we should probably have eaten Japanese food every day, but sometimes it simply does not work so you need the closest place that you can find that does not care about children.

On Saturday, we took a taxi directly to the Yurakucho station to be able to take the Yamanote line to the Yoyogi station for a morning in the morning walking through Meiji Jingu and its surrounding parks. Then we walk for Cat Street to Shibuya before heading to Shinjuku.
Sunday was the day we spent exploring Akihabara and Ginza before collecting hotel luggage and traveling to Tokyo Disney Resort.
As you can see, we managed to place a lot of exploration in just a few days from our base at Monday Apart Ginza Shintomicho Premium.

PRICE
As I said before, we received a courtesy night but we paid 46,000 JPY for a Saturday night in November 2024. This is approximately £ 240 or $ 304, which, at first glance, seems expensive, but when you consider comparative hotels in Tokyo, this is a good business and very competitive.
Final thoughts
There is no doubt that visiting Tokyo and Japan in general, as a visitor for the first time, is overwhelming (both in terms of planning and while you are there). I discovered that our time in Japan was like a whirlwind and has taken a few weeks or so to process the incredible time we had. I’m still thinking now, did we really do that? Having a relaxing and comfortable hotel room to return to ‘home’ at every night makes the trip much better and did not hesitate to recommend staying on Monday apart from Ginza Shintomicho in Tokyo, if he is visiting for the first time or for the tenth time!
