The most wonderful things to do in Noosa, Queensland

[ad_1]

Noosa was one of my favorite places to visit throughout the east coast of Australia. It is the home of impressive beaches, national parks and one of the only two Everglades in the world. If you are looking for inspiration before a visit, you will find it here in my guide of the most wonderful things to do in Noosa.

My wife and I visit so many beautiful places during our nine -month road trip in Australia, but every time someone asks me what my favorite place was, they always return me to Noosa; An impressive destination effortlessly on the east coast.

Located in Sunshine Coast, about 140 km north of Brisbane, Noosa presents white sand beaches with its own microclimates, such a beautiful promontory that is a national park, one of the two Everglade systems in the world and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it extremely cozy for visitors. Add the noosa tropical climate with sun throughout the year and warm temperatures, it is not difficult to fall in love with this place.

There are so many great things that I have tried to cover the most prominent aspects here to help you plan your trip, whether it is a budgetary backpack on a road trip or flying for a luxurious break.

The most wonderful things to do in Noosa

Noosa National Park

Without a doubt, the best thing you can do in Noosa is to spend time in the beautiful Noosa National Park; The 4,000 hectares of it. The National Park covers the Headland (and then some) and incorporates several different walking paths. We put ourselves in the morning to address the coastal track of 5.2 km at the gates of hell; After Tea Tree Bay Beach, Dolphin Point Lookout (Yes, we saw dolphins) and the infamous fairy pools. Keep your eyes wide open for the Koalas and, between July and Novermber, humpback whales during their annual migration.

Honestly, the Noosa National Park is so impressive that I would recommend visiting Noosa, even if it is only to walk on the coastal tracks here!

Main beach

Any trip to Noosa would not be complete without spending time on the main beach, relaxing and enjoying its own microclimate where the temperature here is often a few degrees higher than on Hastings street. You can learn to surf here too or, if you are basically a child like me, you can splash and swim!

Hastings Street

Hastings Street is the heart of Noosa full of boutique stores, restaurants, coffee shops, bars and hotels. It is where almost all visits to Noosa begin (especially if it is parked in Lions Park) and you will find something for everyone here. I loved walking on the street Hastings, appearing in any store that looks elegant (Noosa Longboards was my favorite) before planning our next movement to the Noosa National Park or the main beach. It is also a great place for ice cream!

Food and drink

Now that I have mentioned Hastings Street, the main nose strip, we could well talk about the food and drink scene here. Many of the best places to eat in Noosa are located on Hastings Street, given how accessible it is. Café Monde It is a Noosa institution (which has been here since 1986) for brunch and coffee, Bang Bang It serves high quality Asian food and The captain For pizzas. There are also many places to take ice cream to help you cool. You can take a good drink practically anywhere, but Miss Moneypenny’s It is recommended and can definitely have a cold beer in Noosa Surf Club With views at the head of the beach.

Noosa Everglades

Within the great Sandy National Park is the Noosa Everglades, one of the only two Everglades ecosystems in the world (the other is in Florida, USA.). If you have the opportunity when you are here, you can not miss a trip to the Everglades. I was on my list of cubes for kayak through the tropical wetland system, but we had such a limited budget that we could not afford. It is still one of my greatest regret when visiting Australia and I hope you can mark this one day. Do not make my mistake; Honestly looks incredible.

Eumundi markets

Eumundi’s markets are a must when they go to Noosa. You will find them about 20 km southwest of Noosa Heads and, every Wednesday and Saturday, the crowds accumulate to navigate stalls with local crafts, handmade products, clothing, as well as food and drink. Keep in mind that the market is absolutely huge, so it could easily fill one morning, but you cannot complain if you drink great coffee and many candy! Emma still uses an ankle with a small turtle that we buy from here!

The great pineapple

While we were driving on Australia, we made a point (as I am sure that many others do) to stop and photograph like many of the famous “great things” of Australia and, not far from noose, you will find the great pineapple. It is a great pineapple, there is not much more to say that it is really there!

There is a park where you can pay for an adventure of treetops, among other things, if you like it.

Australia Zoo

A little further, 70 km to the south, but even rather visiting during his time in Noosa is the world -famous Australian zoo. When we visited the Australian zoo, we were quite zoological to be honest. We had visited the Melbourne Zoo, the Dubbo Zoo and several other animal sanctuaries while traveling north, so I felt a little dejected to plan another trip to a zoo. However, Australia’s zoo is an icon for a good reason. This is the Steve Irwin Zoo and for me it was an absolute hero. I am so happy to this day that we do not skip the Australian zoo; Honestly, the best zoo I have visited and the crocodile show in the crocoseum was legendary.

Tickets cost $ 69.95 for adults, $ 44.95 for children and entry is free for children under 3 years.

Where to stay in noosa

When we visited noosa, unfortunately we were looking back now, with a strict budget during our attempted Australia in our motorhome. That meant that we were always looking for free camp places and discovered that one around a 20 -minute driver away from the other side of the A1. To obtain updated information on the availability of free camps, we use the Wikicamps application.

However, now that we could return with a little more money in our bank accounts, we would certainly be looking for the best places to stay in noose and both NOYOUS RESORT PEPPERS and the Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort They are right on our street.

Well, after all that, I hope you could inspire you and I have helped plan your trip to Noosa. I loved Noosa a lot and I know that my wife would move to the area with half a chance. Anyway, I am sure we will return in the future looking for more of the best things to do in Noosa.
