In the streets: Mazara del Valle, Sicily

[ad_1]

Mazara del Valle is a beautiful city on the southwest coast of Sicily with a fascinating mix of history, culture and ethinicity. This is my visual guide for street photography in Mazara del Valle.

Mazara del Valle is a surprisingly beautiful city on the southwest coast of Sicily that, thanks to its proximity to Tunisia, has a more Arab/northern Africa feeling than that of Italy. The city manages to combine a Kasbah with its labyrinth of the duty of the alleys, an impressive Normanda cathedral, more churches than you can imagine all the time of one of the most important fishing ports in the Mediterranean.

For more information, why don’t I consult my guide for Mazara del Vallo here?

This publication is part of my series ‘On The Streets’ that sees me share my photographs from various places around the world with little emphasis on words, but more in the images themselves. The series is still a work in progress and I will continue adding new publications when you have the opportunity. Here are some that you can see in the meantime:

Newcastle
Bangkok
Pharaoh

Now is the time to explore the city, so we are going to immerse ourselves in my street photography in Mazara del Valle.

The details

All the photographs were captured in the Fujifilm X-T5 with my classic Neg recipe; So, yes, everyone is quite directly out of the camera with little later processing. In terms of lens, obviously, the Fujifilm 35 mm f/1.4 was almost attached to my camera at all times, although I enjoyed taking the (new one for me) Fujifilm 18-55 mm f/2.8-4 lens for its first exit. There will also be one or two images with the Fujifilm of 23 mm F/1.4, but mainly I used the first two lenses mentioned above.
