2022: One year in review

[ad_1]

Another year below and I am here to summarize the year that was 2022!

Here we are again, another year below and time for a publication that summarizes the last 12 months. Obviously, these publications only arrive once a year, but, for some reason, I lost the 2021 edition! We have a lot of reach.

For anyone who wants to take a look for time, I will link the previous years below. Just look at optimism in 2018 and 2019 publications!

2018: a year in review
2019: a year in review
2020: One year in review

2022

The only correct and adequate way of starting this publication is to say that 2022 brought the arrival of our beautiful girl, Evelyn. It is still strange to write physically that I am a father now, but this year it has been all about Little Evelyn and the joy, love and challenges that lead to become a father.

I could probably write for hours about my thoughts and feelings after ten months of being a father, but much is covered by my album of the year ‘The Hum waits on Forever’ for Wonder’s years. It is worth listening to if you like your strong music full of meaning.

I don’t want to die, because I have to protect you. You are the reason I can’t go here yet, the reason I don’t want the world to end.

2022 Finally he saw the eventual retirement of COVID-19 so that life could start working towards some kind of normal. I was surprised just to see how fast ‘normal’ returned and how fast all those wishes were forgotten about how he was going to change his life forever. However, Covid-19 reached us and in August we all succumbed to the virus for about ten days. I think I’ve been sick more times this year than ever!

My highlights of 2022

Presenting my little girl, Evelyn
Our first rest of the family city in London
A good trip to Harrogate
Finally updating my camera to Fujifilm X-T5

The year as a travel blogger

In 2020, I made the decision to transfer and redesign my entire website in Squarespace, which, in general, was not a terrible decision. The website seemed the part, but finally I realized that I was not doing anything for growth or by SEO. It had very limited access to the nuts and bolts of the website, so it became evident that I need to return to a website built with WordPress.

Well, let me say, what effort was to transfer everything. Everything was more similar to Save for all image/gallery blocks in each publication that had been wrong. While I have not yet reached each publication, most look back to its beautiful beings with a fresh appearance throughout the site. I also had a problem with the accommodation, so I have gone from Sisterund to Rocket.net, which is more expensive but it is incredibly fast. Pagespeed Insights of Google gives the site a score of 99 for performance.

Travel blogs definitely work very well for me at this time. I remember reading when I was starting in 2017 that it took me for a while to settle and could be beginning to see the 5 -year rewards of Jamiechanchravels.

This year I have worked with tourism boards and have paid me to do it, I have stayed and eaten in many excellent places and next year it seems that I could overcome this in terms of travel blogs. I managed to publish 36 publications this year (including this), which is an improvement in recent years. Now, if you could only publish much more regularly, reach 50,000 sessions per month and accept in Mediavine …

Finally, in terms of page views, we are looking to finish the year between 120,000 and 130,000, which is absolutely crazy again. In 2018, it was 15,000 and by 2020 it was 80,000. The fingers crossed that things seem to go in the right direction. I just need to find some time to overcome an accumulation of ideas of publications in recent years!

My five most popular publications of 2022

As always, they are publications related to photography the most popular, but the views of travel related to trips are also very consistent. From what I can say (taking into account the switch), these are my five main publications this year:

My 2021 Fujifilm Jpeg configuration
Fujifilm’s Classic Chrome for Travel Photography
My fujifilm photography flow
A look at the simulation of classical negative film at the Fujifilm X-T2
Fujifilm acros simulation in the real world

What follows?

Life as a father will obviously look a little different in the future, but I really hope we can start incorporating trips abroad again next year. We had a practice at a two night break in London that was better than expected, so the crossed fingers can start escaping!

I am excited for next year, I’m really.

As always in these publications, I want to thank each and every one of the people who take the time to read my publications, look at my photograph and support me. I appreciate it and I hope you can keep you on board in the coming years!

If you have any suggestion about what you would like to see more, let’s know!

Health

Jamie
