Young is a small and quiet country in the regions of the hill of Nueva Wales del Sur. If you are planning a visit, I am here to help with my guide about the best things to do in Young.
If I am honest, Young was never a destination that reached the list of places of my wife and I must visit in Nueva Wales del Sur, but this country city in the region of the hills surprised us. We spend a few weeks in the city thanks to the houses of trust where we take care of a small poodled Lucy, we spent hot nights on the terrace and enjoy exploring day.
Young is around two hours by car northeast of Canberra and about four hours west of Sydney. This is a typically Australian heritage city but with a difference; Cherries are so important here so much that there is a festival dedicated to them every December. Interestingly, Young apparently was the first place in the complete British empire to have electricity supply. The history of young people is really interesting, so, if you need more information, just go to Official website For the city.
We are going to immerse ourselves directly in this then. These are my thoughts about the best things to do in the young and new South Wales.
Things to do in Young, New South Wales
The great cherries
The first place to visit in the list of all young people has to be the great iconic cherries. Just outside the Information Center of the Young & Hilltops region at the Victorian train station, you must visit the big cherries simply to take a photo and appreciate what makes this city so popular. They are not the biggest things in Australia (here they look at you, Big Merino and Big Langust -), but seeing them allows you to mark it out of your list if you are counting!

Pants Garden Chinese Garden Plan
Four kilometers from the center of young people, is the Chinese Tribute Plan Garden, a quiet and relaxing garden built in 1992 to recognize the contribution that the Chinese community made to young people in the 1860s. Look, Young has a bit of dark history. As with many remote cities in Australia, the discovery of gold saw an influx of miners, from different ethnicities, all hoping to be the one who attacked him lucky. The Chinese worked together, they were apparently organized, they were often those who found gold. In general terms, the Chinese became goals. The tensions raised throughout the country lead to protests and, ultimately, flat disturbances. The riots took place for ten months, but on June 30, 1861, between 2-3,000 gold miners attacked the Chinese miners and expelled them from the gold fields. This was something that perhaps led to the terrible policy of Racist Blanca.
Anyway, apart from history, these are beautiful gardens to walk and relax in the pool of tranquility. The marble lion sculptures that protect the entrance of the gardens are a particular climax.

Young Historical Museum
To continue from your Pacific to roam the gardens, go to the Young Historical Museum for a better understanding of Young’s story. You will find artifacts of the gold mining era, the disturbances and much more to stay interested. The museum itself is in the building that was the original city school that opened in 1883! There is also a cafeteria in the place for those who need a caffeine solution!
Anderson Park
Outside the train station and the information center is Anderson Park, where you will find a recreation patio for children, shadow of beautiful trees to escape the sun, as well as regular Saturday markets with many food stalls!
Admire the City Council
Australia is full of a beautiful Victorian architecture something that seems to be disappearing from her home in the United Kingdom. Wherever you look from the big cities to rural cities, Australia is proud of its architecture of the Victorian era and the City Council of Young’s Town is something to admire. Built in 1875, the City Council is beautiful in its colors blue pastel, so it is definitely worth stopping to take a look.
Cafes and bars
You can’t get to Young without experiencing a cold one in the afternoon, right? Criterion Hotel, Commercial Hotel and the Australian Hotel are the two main pubs of the city, with the Hotel Criterion Unusable thanks to its Gold Yellow XXXX facade. Wilkies coffee Although it is the best qualified coffee place in the city S&A CAFE and Hussy Specialty coffee and kitchen They are not far away.
The Cerezo Festival
Every December, with the season of collection of cherry in full peak, the city of Young receives the National Cherry Festival; One of the best things to do in young people and something that attracts thousands of visitors to the city. Explore street markets full of freshly collected cherry and cherry cherry cherry trees; Basically celebrating all Cherry’s things. Note how the PIP Spit and Cherry Pie dining competitions are held. During the season, you can even go to the farms to choose yours!

That concludes my list of the best things to do in young people well, so if you are planning a visit, I hope this helps! If you have more recommendations or thoughts, I would love to listen to them in the comments below.
