[ad_1]

The Gold Coast is the main destination of Queensland beach with iconic surf pauses, golden sand beaches, high dazzling and lush laughter intervals of the tropical jungle. If you are looking for the best things to do in Gold Coast and take full advantage of your time, this 5 -day Gold Coast itinerary is for you!

Known for its waves, its virgin beaches and its endless sun, the Gold Coast offers all those and something else. It is a city different from any other in Australia, I mean that it literally leaves the sea, and it is perfect for a long break, be it a family, with friends or a solo backpack.

To help you plan your perfect trip and make the most of your time here, I have gathered this 5 -day Gold Coast itinerary. We have surf, we have sand, we have national parks, we have fun of high octane; This is definitely the Goldie.

Come on.

5 -day Gold Coast itinerary

Day 1 – Welcome to Gold Coast

Welcome to Gold Coast! Whether you have arrived just out of a plane at the airport or stop here as part of your road trip of the East Coast, the first thing you will want to do is orient yourself, feed and watee!

While we headed north from Byron Bay, initially we stopped in Coolangatta on the border of Queensland and New South Wales to ensure that we literally had a foot in each state. Snapper Rocks offers his first impressive views on the other side of the sea towards the bright high and skyscrapers of this unique city.

Go to the rustic Bakery In Burleight, heads for one of the best lunches in Gold Coast. To be fair, we not only visit because it is my homonym, Paddock Bakery has a very qualification thanks to its adorable plot of Queenslander-Home, its mother mass with firewood and obviously an excellent food and coffee. Neither do you miss the smoothies that are crazy; The strawberries and cream were my option, but the donut shake or even Lamington would tempt me. Paddock Bakery is only without previous appointment and, if it’s a good day (which, of course, will probably be here at Gold Coast), be sure to take a seat in the rustic garden. It is open from 6 am to 3pm.

We will stay in Burleight Heads for the first day. This was possibly my favorite Gold Coast area; It is so relaxed. The Burleight Head National Park is a lovely headland with tropical jungle, mangroves and views through the Tallebudgera stream. It is surprising to find such a peaceful national park on the coast so close to the bustling city. The Headland offers perfect views for surfer paradise; Black rocks soaked in the sea framed by Pandanus palm trees.

Once you have finished a beautiful walk through the Burleight Head National Park, be sure to take a cold from the Burleight Brewing CO and catch the sunset from the North Burleight Lookout; This is the best place in my opinion to see the sunset on Gold Coast. Rick ShoresWithin the Burleight pavilion, it is probably the most popular place to eat with the Moreton Bay insect roll being an essential comment.

Day 2 – Learn to surf

Today we are going to mark an activity of the desire list; Learning to surf at Gold Coast. Currumbin Alley Surf School Offer lessons for extremely fun beginners about the consistent waves of Currumbin Alley and this was where I tried to surf for the first time. I thought I would be relatively in accordance with surfing, since it is known that in the past in the past, although my central muscles apparently disappeared when I began to work in an office around 2011. It was that lack of central muscle that was apparently retaining during the surf lesson, I could barely get up. Eventually, however, towards the end of the lesson with constant breath, I found a rhythm and managed to get up and surf the shallow waters several times! When I was outside the sea around the waist, sincerely, I thought the waves were quite large and impressive so you can imagine my shame of the photos that my wife took me when you could barely see the wave breaking at all. However, in general, this is something that I would recommend doing when Gold Coast visits; There cannot be many better places in the world than learning to surf here.

In the rightly called Elephant Rock, visit the Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Life Saving Club For lunch where you can wait for the Australian classic chicken Parmigian, a large selection of fish dishes and, my favorite, hamburgers and fried potatoes! The views from here are exceptional!

After lunch, it is time to experience a native wild life in the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. I could probably spend a whole day walking through the 27 hectares of tropical jungle admiring the different animals, reptiles and birds that take care of each other. An experience that cannot be lost is to go behind the scene with the Koalas that includes a photograph of you holding one of these tender marsupials. It is expensive $ 99 in addition to the entry of $ 64.95 free but, of course, you are in Australia, so you are a bit have To get a photo with a Koala. We did this in the solo sanctuary of Pine Koala in Brisbane, since it worked better with the times.

Day 3 – Surfer’s Paradise

At least the day of his time at Gold Coast he must spend in the Balshy Surfer Paradise; He is loud, energetic and fun. You can find almost everything here, from retail therapy and tourist attractions such as the Wax Museum or Ripley’s Believe It or not to make paples and nightlife without stopping! We do not spend too much time in surfer paradise (more time than expected as a seller stopped me to enroll in an epic bar of bars), but you will easily find something fun to do here.

However, the main thing you should do in Surfer Paradise is the high head to the SkyPoint observation mallet. At 230 m above sea level, literally on the sea, it can slide through the crazy 360 ° views throughout the gold coast. When we visited Gold Coast, we had a strict budget, so we lost this activity and I still regret now. Tickets cost $ 31 for adults from Monday to Friday or $ 36 on weekends, public and school vacations. If you want to bring things to a higher level, why not get to the highest summit? This has to be something for those with a love for adrenaline and heights!

The Gold Coast is well known for its world -class theme parks, such as Warner Bros. World of movies AND Dreamworldand aquatic parks that deserve a visit if you love a bit of high octane fun. We visited Wet’n’wild Gold Coast For half a day, which offered a lot of fun for two adults, but I can imagine that the walks would be even better for those with children! The infamous scene of the Inbetweener 2 movie was filmed here, you know the only one, and of course I had to experience exactly the same fall as McKenzie because I am a geek. The best journey of the day (and probably the most scary) went to Aqualoop, but unfortunately it seems that this trip has closed forever.

Day 4 – Springbrook National Park

The best things to do in Gold Coast are certainly not confined to the coast and, therefore, as part of this Gold Coast itinerary, I recommend addressing the interior to obtain incredible forests, walks and waterfalls. As I have already gathered this detailed guide of the interior of Gold Coast, I will keep the things relatively short here.

The Springbrook National Park is about 40 km southwest of Surfer’s Paradise, 50 minutes by car, and it is worth visiting to experience ‘the green behind gold’. The most prominent aspects here are the unique natural bridge, Twin Falls and Purling Brook Falls. If you are visiting with access to a motorhome, caravan or tent, you could easily take into account a night camp in the National Park in the beautiful Settlement camp area.

Day 5 – Lamington National Park

Together with the Springbrook National Park, Lamington National Park is a must to spend time at Gold Coast. This National Park is a bit more complicated to arrive with a single and creepy lane road that goes up the mountain, but I promise once you get here, you will be amazed at this incredible National Park. The most prominent aspects are Retirement of the Tropical Selva de O’Reilly (You could stay here and experience the spa of the lost world), Moran Falls and the walk in the Cup of the old tropical jungle.
