The best places to eat in Benidorm

[ad_1]

Under the high up and behind the game scene, Benidorm’s authentic side houses surprising culinary experiences. This is my guide to the best places to eat in Benidorm.

Ok, then, if you are here looking for the best most cheap English conclusions or breakfasts in Benidorm, I’m afraid you’ll feel very disappointed. However, if you have an open mind and really want to experience one of the most amazing culinary scenes in Spain, let me show me exactly where you should eat when Benidorm visits.

Recently I spent three nights in Benidorm with Jet2holidays and the Tourism Board and we invited us to meals in some of the best restaurants in Benidorm. Honestly, I was generally surprised by visiting Benidorm that there is a completely different side compared to the infamous strip, but I think it surprised me even more when the food offered here left me speechless. It is fair to say that some of my favorite food have eaten here and no, that is not me exaggerating for the good of blogs; You will see what I mean.

As Cavaet before immersing ourselves, I have obviously not visited all restaurants in Benidorm, so there will certainly be many more excellent options and also appreciate that standards can fluctuate. This is, therefore, my guide to the best places to eat in Benidorm, which will hope to add over time, and is based on a visit during May 2025.

The best places to eat in Benidorm

D’Esa Restaurant

The D’Ara restaurant, in the old town of Benidorm, is probably the first place that I recommend visiting anyone traveling to Benidorm. This restaurant not only has some of the best views of Levante Beach and, in some way, picturesque high increases in the city, but also has some of the best foods.

Hopefully you can know only from the photos below the standard of food offered here. As we were eight of us, we decided to share a variety of menu entrants, such as the César Chicken salad and the broken eggs or ‘broken eggs’ (a Spanish dish with fried potatoes, eggs cooked at 65 ° C, Iberian ham and fat foie, I know decadent!). For Main there was only one dish that was ordering (as you will see below, the Iberian pig is all you need in life when you are in Spain); Iberian pork with chimichurri sauce, sweet potato, crispy onion, cherry tomatoes confites and asparagus. It was divine.

Tapas alley

Ah, tapas stem. The old town of Benidorm is beautiful and so far from the Wild Benidorm Strip that you would think that they had transported you to a Spanish city completely. Alley covers, a alley full of tapas bars, is the best place to eat in the old town, since it can jump from one to another pintxos snack as if you were in San Sebastián or feel for delicious covers shared among friends.

We visited La Tapeira AurreraAn incredible restaurant that serves the dish after the dish until we could have eaten more. First were the roasted spot peppers, the Iberian healing ham and the broken eggs with more Iberian ham before resorting to the chefs cooking our own sirloin fillet on the table. For the dessert, there were French toasted with caramel sauce and meringue milk ice cream, Basque cheese cake and ice cream chocolate brownie. Even after all those sweets, there was still a small space to fit in one of the delicious pintxos outside the counter; I went with the black Buddine, the caramelized onions, the cheese and the pepper that was out of this world!

Alley Tapas is a must in Benidorm and is guaranteed a real Spanish night full of good food!

URIA Restaurant

This restaurant is a beautiful property of the front of the beach in putting you Beach; Benidorm’s quieter and more local part of the old town. From the airport, we headed directly here for a well -deserved lunch and what lunch it was. We had tuna, croquettes and fried squid and fresh fried squid to start. The Frito Squid with newly squeezed lemon was a Gamechanger and instantly made me realize that maybe there was good food in Benidorm after all.

We also possibly share the biggest paella I have seen; There was more than enough for eight of us! Uria Restaurant had a really relaxing atmosphere and, with being further from the most tourist side of Benidorm, allows a great introduction to what life is really life for those who call this city home. What a great restaurant!

Urban beach

While it was located in an unpretentious building along the ride in Levante Beach, Urban Beach Gastro Bar will definitely surprise you. The decoration is fresh and modern (with excellent views of the beach) and the food is fantastic; There is a good range of seafood, as well as high quality meat dishes with unique turns. We had a selection of entrants, including croquettes (you can never be wrong with a croquette) and César salad before devouring the hungry of Angus Black Thai. The fresh herbs of the meat hamburger made this such an unique and light hamburger compared to normal, I also loved the chipotle sauce and the César cheese sauce. Excellent!

Exotic

Exotic probably only stole the number one place for food now that I have had some time to process everywhere where we ate while I was in Benidorm. Exotic is located inside the Spring Park hotel, but don’t let that be discouraged. This is such unique and immersive experience with a tasting menu that is offered for only € 55. This included four courses, one of which I can’t even believe I will love.

To start, we had a red marinated red tataki, shaving Wasabi, truffle, roasted cherry tomato and yondu. This was the dish that could not stop eating. Tataki is a Japanese cooking method through which the meat is briefly filled outside, although the interior is completely raw. Raw fish is something that I never liked, although the taste of this dish was incredible. Sorry not to have tried something like this while in Japan, since I can only imagine how good I could have tried! The next was a bao bun full of slow cooked meat cheeks, tzatziki, hummus and pickled onion, also incredible. For Main, my choice was the Iberian pig with Korean barbecue sauce, red wine reduction and olive mayonnaise. To dinner in Spain and Portugal, you can never be wrong with the Iberian pig; It’s so good. Finally, it was a relatively light cheese cake with caramel sauce to finish an absolutely fantastic meal.

I really recommend this restaurant and, if you plan in advance, you may enjoy your food along with music and live shows.

Bonus – Selvatic roof bar

I know this is not technically a place to eat in Benidorm, but it is a roof bar that you has to Visit while in the city. It is a world away from the British bars along the strip; The cocktails are incredible (I went with a sour pineapple whiskey!) Like the views of Benidorm’s quieter part to the mountains. A small advantage is that the roof bar is at the top of the same hotel that houses the Exototo de Arriba restaurant so that it can easily combine for a lovely and respectable night in Benidorm.

That concludes my brief guide for the best places to eat in Benidorm, in my opinion, based on a short three night trip. I would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations so that, when I plan a visit to Spain, I have even more great restaurants to try!
