9 cold places to eat and drink in Tokyo, Japan

[ad_1]

Overwhelmed by the mass choice of places to eat and drink in Tokyo? I am not surprised, I was too. This guide will share my favorites to help you plan your trip!

Every time I plan a trip to a new city, I love sitting, review blogs and social networks to find as many interesting places to eat and drink as possible. Whether they are avant -garde hamburgers or popular coffees that serve a great coffee, I like that everyone is stored so that there is always a plan or at least a backup option when you are hungry, thirst or (at least for us) when children are hungry.

Since Tokyo is the largest city on Earth, the options for excellent meal and drink are endless and I want to put a small warning at the beginning of this publication, as well as the other publications of this series. I cannot with the title of good faith this blog post ‘The best places to eat and drink’ or anything that suggests that these are the only places to visit when in Japan. Without a doubt, there are hundreds, if not thousands of restaurants, restaurants, coffee shops and absolutely incredible bars, in the largest cities in Japan and it would be impossible to try so many in such a short time. I am not absolutely an expert, so this publication is simply my collection of places where we ate and drank while I was in Tokyo with my wife and my little boy. We visit in November 2024 and, therefore, keep in mind that the standards can fluctuate and what works for one may not work for another!

However, saying all that, I enjoyed absolutely everywhere in this list, since if I did not, I would obviously share it with you. Hopefully I can use this guide to save some interesting places and plan your trip, but are not afraid to enter somewhere and try it. That is what we ended up doing on many occasions and we never had a bad experience!

So let’s crack and share my favorite places to eat and drink in Tokyo!

Places to eat and drink in Tokyo

All places to eat and drink in Tokyo are included on the map below, which hopefully help visit a specific area. Tokyo is huge, so having some options where to eat and drink in each location will always help massively.

Jennifer seven

We will begin with the most great hamburger base in which I have been and, without a doubt, one of those places that, through my research, continued to appear as some of Tokyo’s best hamburgers. Jennifer Seven, in Omotesando near Shibuya, is a retro version of the American restaurant of the 1950s with hamburgers from the old school (I am talking about simple cheese hamburgers with Ketchup and Mustard), fried chicken, Coca Cola floats, beaters and baked products of the small tokyo bakery on the other side of the road.

You enter Jennifer Seven through a door at the back of a product store that has an ‘m’ vice versa to welcome you. McDonald’s this is not. We asked through the application and very soon we had incredible burgers with fried sweet potatoes to satisfy our cravings. The problem with the application of the application is that you can continue ordering easily, so we add a piece of fried chicken, a milkshake for Evelyn and a Brownie because well, why aren’t you in an American restaurant in the old school in Japan? If we had more time in Tokyo, I would have eaten here again and have spent more time in the area in general; It was one of my favorite places full of restaurants, coffee shops and clothing stores.

ASAKUSA KAGETSUDO MELÓN SINGTÉN

Just outside sensō-ji, on an old commercial street, there is this small store that serves sweet, crispy and warm buns (known as ‘Melon Pan’). We visited in the afternoon and the tail was not so bad, but it was worth it. The newly cooked buns are divided open and full of whipped, delicious and unmissable cream. However, keep in mind that it is only effective.

Ueno Korean coffee

This was the last place in which we ate during our beautiful time in Tokyo completely out of necessity and curiosity. We spent our last night in Tokyo Ueno and we found this brilliant Korean coffee just a few doors of the hotel. After trying to pack as much as we could, we needed a fast and easy place for tea and here we found a real Korean food at a really good price. We share Korean fried chicken (although with the addition of powdered cheese that was really not very sure), meatballs and chicken with cheese. All really good dishes, although the sauteed chicken had some textures that really made me know what I was eating! Coffee is also a great option during the day if you are close to Uno Park, since coffees look incredible with an impressive and unique milk art. Again, this is just effective!

Kurikoan

Here are one for the lovers of the Pokémon, a small position in Akihabara distributing a warm Taiyaki in the form of a loved one Magikarp. Obtain a custard option or red bean pasta; We went with the incredible custards!

Sristi

Sristi, an Indian and Nepalese restaurant, is one of those places to eat in Tokyo in which we randomly random thanks to its convenient location near our hotel (Monday apart from Ginza Shintomicho) and the staff is more than complacent for our stroller and small child in the small base restaurant. These are the types of places where I recommend walking so frequently will not be in any list of ‘Better places to eat in Tokyo’, but it will not be disappointed.

The food here really left me speechless and it showed that it was popular among the Japanese Salarymen who presumably had come directly from the office for beers and curry. We share chicken takka to start, fresh from the grill, followed by chicken covered with a boiled egg (really good!), Rice and a cheese naan. Emma went with the butter chicken and also had a menu for children that Evelyn really enjoyed! If you are in the area, you really cannot be wrong with Sristi for an excellent Indian meal, especially if you feel like a little break from Japanese food.

PST HIGASHI AZABU

This will surprise you. Once again, a place where we purely encounter for ease and proximity to our hotel after an occupied day exploring. What we did not realize that this is home to some of Tokyo’s best pizzas and maybe even in the world. Surprisingly, this Japanese pizzeria took home number one in the Best Pizza Awards of Worlds in Milan, so they are clearly doing something right!

There is a coverage load for each guest that some people do not seem to like, but it gets a small glass of homemade fungal soup supas. I went with the Arrabbiata pizza that was covered with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, n’duja, garlic and parsley. I tried to add homemade pork sausages, although I am not sure that there is none at all despite paying it! Emma and Evelyn shared a Margherita that both really enjoyed.

Be sure to get early or reserve in line in advance, as it can be busy and it’s just a small restaurant!

Iyoshi Cola

Here is a really unique place to drink a drink in Tokyo; Iyoshi Cola is the home of the viral tail (or at least extremely popular) in a bag. The company has a wink to the pharmaceutical roots of families that has developed its own combination of spices (type of medicinal tasting) to create this interesting artisanal tail. The dreamy flavor is the most popular and the type of ‘base level’ for newcomers; I really enjoyed the unique flavor, although Evelyn’s face was an absolute image, since he condemned the drink for being “too spicy.” She is two years old, it clearly does not have such a sophisticated palette! In addition, the way the drink is served also makes it great photos!

Mikkeller Tokyo

Mikkeller is a modern brand of Danish craft beer and outside the back of the Shibuya station (Exit A0) is a small bar that serves an excellent beer that feels like a little secret. We visited during a rare nap of the afternoon for Evelyn and we immediately inclined in the relaxed environment, sitting in the concrete bank in the alley drinking cold and cold beer. In general, I am not a great lover of craft beer, you wouldn’t catch me drinking a sour, for example, but the IPA fell very well. The only thing that was missing when we visited were the brand beer carpets and the brand vessels that I really wanted to buy to add to the return home collection!

This is a must for beer lovers when Tokyo is recommended, I recommend it.

Onibus coffee

Finally, but in no way, it is one of the most popular coffee shops of all tokyo with a unique view of the trains that pass while drinking your flat target. This Location of Onibus is located a few steps from the Nakameguro station in a small and fresh suburb south of Shibuya. Nakameguro has great coffees, stores like Traveler’s Factory and high quality restaurants. I found a much quieter area that allows you to breathe time after Shinjuku chaos.

Onibus Coffee is very popular and many will come only to sit in the famous corner that looks at the trains starting from everything while their coffee and cake cake stir from vibrations. Coffee is quite small; Find a space first and then go down to order from the window. I enjoyed flat target and we all shared a cake before (Evelyn) burned some energy in the nearby Play Park.

That wraps my guide from the most great places to eat and drink in Tokyo according to me. Of course, there are thousands of other places to eat and drink, and I am sure there are many other guides that promise him the “best.” However, this was something to share where we ate and drank to help other visitors for the first time to Tokyo or those who may have visited before, but I wanted to try a new place!
