Monochromatic cities return with a birthday trip to London, all captured in glorious black and white.
It is fair to say that this year it has not been full of travel adventures rather adventures of a completely different guy. With my wife and I becoming new parents in February, we have focused on our daughter instead of exploring new places. With the passage of time, we have managed to escape on some trips here and there, with my favorite to be a first return to London in six (!) Years for my birthday.
A two -night stay in London was the perfect test for us as new parents to see if we could administer our usual type of rest of the city with a small one. Needless to say, Evelyn has adjusted perfectly in our lives and was absolutely no problem; While it is possible that I do not remember this trip, we have created memories that I will appreciate forever.
In terms of photography, I obviously had my camera (s) with me and I loved being able to capture London in my own unique style. I knew in advance that I wanted to shoot everything in black and white using my punch acros recipe to be able to add to my collection of monochromatic cities. I also have the RAW files, I don’t worry, since I also like having the color photo option.
I have been dying to share this publication, since I honestly believe that the series as a whole works very, very well. As I said before, using a Fujifilm JPEG recipe allows a consistent appearance and I love the way I have been able to capture London. All the photos were filmed below for approximately two and a half days, but I hope this is added soon when you have the opportunity to return to the south.
I have spoken enough now, so we visit London in everything that is monochromatic glory. This is the monochrome Cities London edition.
I would love to know what you think, so don’t hesitate to comment below!
