As an avid travel photographer, I have made my fair part of the research on the identification of the best camera bag both in terms of practical and appearance aspects. I love Brevite as a brand and this is my review of the Jersey Brevite camera bag that I hope you find useful.
Having been one of the first to adopt the Brevite camera bag (I have had the OG backpack since 2017), I felt it was time to update, a small update if you wish, and now I am the proud owner of the Jersey Brevite Chamber Bag. While there are many, many YouTube videos that review this modern camera bag, some of us prefer the nature of the old school of written words and, therefore, this review is for you. A small collection of my thoughts on the most great camera bags available today.
Brevita
In 2017, I left my career as a lawyer to travel through Australia and Southeast Asia with my wife and a lot of camera team. I remember specifically looking for a camera bag that No It looks like a camera bag but could carry everything he possessed. Everything I owned included not only my camera, lenses, a drone, my laptop, hard behaviors, a tripod but my guides of solitary planet, my water bottle, a couple of spare clothes. At least at least, any camera bag that offered these crazy storage levels did not seem elegant and clearly announced its content for passersby. I wanted to find something that would find my needs but that seemed elegant, modern and definitely did not seem like a camera bag. I thought what I wanted only existed in my head.
Enter Brevite.
Brevite was installed about five years by three brothers who threw the original camera backpack from which I fell in love and joined me on my trips for more than 10 months. I have continued using that same backpack in the last five years, including holidays, weekends, commercial sessions and weddings. It was all I wanted and needed to be a camera bag.
Brevite now offers a broader range of backpacks and proud to do business in a responsible manner; Sustainable, ethical and animal -free. It was obvious to return directly to Brevite when I wanted something a little smaller and more appropriate for daily use. The award -winning jersey camera bag is exactly what I need.
My review of the Jersey Brevite camera bag

The first thing is first, let’s say this: this backpack looks very good. Very elegant, modern and compact. Perfect for daily use.
This is a camera bag so popular that it is often exhausted, but, luckily, Brevite has just increased the range of colors up to ten that range from black yellow and pine green. Everyone looks very good, but I can never deviate too much from black, so that was my choice.
Characteristics
The jumper is not the largest backpack with a capacity of 18 liters, but it is surprising how many characteristics are offered. I will list them first and then we will immerse ourselves in some of my favorites:
-
Customizable removable divisors for camera storage with complete front access
-
Upper compartment
-
Separate portable computer pocket (up to 16 inches)
-
Fast access side door
-
Separate zipper with four mesh pockets
-
Tripod holder
-
Water bottle support
-
Luggage pass
-
Hidden pocket
-

Cameras storage
With the bag of the jersey camera, you get some removable divisors of different sizes that you can configure so that it best suits your team. As you can see, I have mine configured to be able to fit in my main camera with an attached lens plus four more lenses. That is crazy. Okay, I use the Fujifilm system so that the lenses are usually a little smaller than the full picture equivalents, but this is what I can get in the bag:
-
Fufjifilm x-t2 with 23 mm lens f/1.4
-
Fujifilm 16 mm f/1.4
-
Fufjilm 56 mm f/1.2
-
Fujifilm 55-200 mm F/3.5-4.8
-
Samyang 12 mm f/2

If you use the upper compartment too, I can add a second camera with another lens! With the Fujifilm system, I could carry this bag all day thanks to its padded straps and feel nothing. It doesn’t matter what equipment you have, you will definitely solve a configuration that works for you.
A camera storage area is easily accessed by a large opening in the front of the OA bag through the fast access door on the side (more on this below).
Front section
Within the opening to access the storage of the main chamber there is a zipper pocket that contains four ideal mesh sections to store spare batteries, hard guts and keys.
Laptop
There is a completely separated zip section on the back for your laptop that I love. With the original backpack, the laptop section was inside, so it was not always easy to take its laptop if it had gone a little by the board when packing. I have a 15 -inch Dell XPS laptop and fits perfectly, you wouldn’t even know what you are there.

Disadvantage
As I said before, I am a long -term user of the original Brevite backpack and, therefore, making the change to the most modern backpack that we are talking about here has come with some slightly surprising disadvantages. Are they enough to leave someone? You are welcome. However, unfortunately it has an impact on my general experience, but I think that is only because I am so accustomed to the original backpack. I always like to be completely honest, so nothing goes unnoticed here.

My main complaint is that the fast access pocket in the backpack (ideal to grab your camera at one time at one time) has changed sideways. Even if I had not used the original backpack for so long, I would still find this more than a bit annoying (unless it is completely in fact)
With the original backpack, the side door was on the right side (as you are using it), which means that I would simply drop my backpack from my left shoulder, it would slide towards my right hand and quickly unbuttoned with my left hand. I could access my camera in seconds. However, now, the side door has moved to the left side, which makes this movement impossible for me. Physically I can’t for some reason to do the opposite; It just doesn’t work for me. It would have been great if Brevite gave him the option of which side is the door to access his team. My characteristic used number one in the original backpack is now unusable for me.
Another inconvenience that affects me is the disappearance of the removable insert. With the original backpack, he had a completely separate insert that he could then customize depending on how he would like to store his team. This was useful much more than you would expect. It meant that in seconds could change between a camera bag and a normal backpack. I often stored my team in the insert and had it separately in the house or, when I was traveling, completely hidden.
With the new Brevite backpack, the concept of customizing how you want to store your team remains, but the insert has left. Instead, use the divisors themselves, but you must try Velcro directly inside the bag. Once you have configured the equipment area, the camera bag remains in a camera bag. Not necessarily something bad, but I like a little more flexibility. For some reason, divisors do not see as tight as once in the insert, which means that I often discovered that the lenses end up moving inside the bag. Of course, you can buy this as a regular backpack, you don’t need
Two small final bass from my point of view. Gone is the built -in rain cover (although you can buy one for $ 32) and the small metal clip ring of the front pocket that was super right -handed to keep the keys at all times at all times has been left. I loved the rain cover that was integrated in the lower part of the original backpack; It was useful all the time, especially throughout Southeast Asia during the Monzón season.
My final thoughts on the Jersey Brevite camera bag
I know that I have spoken a lot about the disadvantages, but I must emphasize that this is only from my five -year use of the original backpack. Curse, I never realized how good that backpack was. I still have that backpack and is still in excellent condition, which is a testimony of the quality offered by Brevite. They even offer a life guarantee, so you know that these backpacks are built to last.
Anyway, I still love the jersey camera bag, since it works perfectly as a daily bag. Yes, there are some characteristics that I would have loved to have seen, but if you have never experienced them, you will not miss them.
This is a perfect camera bag for everyone, so, honestly, I cannot recommend it enough. Fortunately, I have the best of both worlds with the original backpack that I will still use for long distance trips and the sweater for everything else.
