In the streets: Palermo, Sicily

[ad_1]

Palermo is the dream of a street and travel photographer; A city where ordinary arena and daily life thrives explodes everywhere. This is my visual guide for street photography in Palermo, Sicily.

Ah Palermo! The infamous capital of Sicily, the heart of the Mediterranean. Palermo has a lot to do so, that is safe and almost immediately entered my 3 main cities in the world. The city is completely honest, it is raw and is very sandy. Life wanders as if the growing influx of tourists were not there. From early morning frantic in Ballaro Market to religious celebrations on the street, you will see almost everything that life can throw yourself in a short space of time.

I visited Palermo as part of a press trip with visit Sicily and spent a total of five nights in the city; Three on the press trip and two alone. On each occasion, my reliable Fujifilm X-T5 was available to capture the city in my own unique style of photography. I loved to wander through the streets, without a real purpose or direction, apart from exploring and photographing everything along the way.

This publication is part of my series ‘On The Streets’ that sees me share my photographs from various places around the world with little emphasis on words, but more in the images themselves. The series is still a work in progress and I will continue adding new publications when you have the opportunity. Here are some that can consult meanwhile includes new Sicily:

The details

All the photographs were captured in the Fujifilm X-T5 with my classic Neg recipe; So, yes, everyone is quite directly out of the camera with little later processing. In terms of lens, obviously, the Fujifilm 35 mm f/1.4 was almost attached to my camera at all times, although I enjoyed taking the (new one for me) Fujifilm 18-55 mm f/2.8-4 lens for its first exit. There will also be one or two images with the Fujifilm of 23 mm F/1.4, but mainly the first two lenses mentioned above.
