The 10 best bars in Palermo, Sicily

[ad_1]

If there is something that the locals know how to do well in Palermo is how to have a good time and the nightlife here is insurmountable every day of the week. This is my guide to the best bars in Palermo.

Palermo’s nightlife is something else. Once the sun slides behind Mountains, Palermo takes things a bit. The locals end almost every day with a Night Passeggiata (a walk) to a bar for the classic Sicilian; Usually, a Aperol Spritz and a table full of meats and cured cheeses. I could not believe how vibrant and electrical was the atmosphere. From the cobbled alleys of the neighborhood of Kalsa to the roof bars with a view to the city, you will never have difficulty finding somewhere effortlessly to take your spritz, your salt beer from Messina or its glass of red.

Discharge of Responsibility: I visited Palermo on a press trip courtesy of the Board of Tourists Visit Sicily and spent three nights in the city. I spent an additional two nights exploring as many city as possible and experiencing the excellent nightlife for myself. All the opinions expressed in this article are, as always, completely mine!

The best bars in Palermo

Botteghe Colletti

Could this be the best bar in all Palermo? I can’t say that I have tried them all, but I loved Botteghe Colletti; It feels as if it puts everything that is Palermo. During the day, this cobblestone is often used as a cut to arrive through Vittorio Emanuele but, at night, this street comes alive.

The small interior is opulent, reminding me of a 1920 cocktail bar, but drinks a beer and go outside where the crowds perch on the curbs admiring the street art painted in metal blinds. The contrast between the interior and the outside is quite unique. The locals are still dressed as if they were at a high -end champagne bar, but apparently they are perfectly happy to sit in rickety chairs and even on the floor; While drinks and the company are good. The cocktails are incredible by the way; The espresso Martinis and the Amaretto agrios receive constant praise.

If you are not careful, a snack will become a full night here, who could blame you?

Dal Baron

Next to Botteghe Colletti is Dal Barone, a small wine bar with knowledgeable owners who are proud of what they offer. There are many natural wines to choose from and, as with Botteghe Colletti, things spill on the street here. While I am not a great wine lover, this place was extremely popular between locals and visitors, so, if you like wine, do not miss Dal Barone.

Qvvvi bar

After spending too much time photographing the streets of the neighborhood of Kalsa, I needed to find anywhere for a beer and a fanta (a strange combination that I know!) And that was exactly the type of bar I needed. Completely without pretensions and friendly with lively and solid wifi music to video call back home. I did not stay too long, but Qvivi was clearly the busiest bar of the square, so I would recommend visiting beers and cocktails!

Facebook

Thorn bar

Spina Bar is a highly recommended bar that seemed to appear on each list of the best bars in Palermo I read before traveling. It has a real local sensation, outside the path of the most ‘tourist’ areas, with tables in the square that became a complete solar trap; It’s not great for my pale skin. The spine is also great inside with regular DJ slots for those who like their drinks a little more optimistic.

Ai Bottai

AI Bottai was a must on my list for the famous snack boards that certainly did not disappoint. I had the first sicer of the Sicilian beer ‘Messina’ with salt crystals from the Salinas to the south of Trapani; Better than I expected and relatively refreshing in Sicilian heat.

There is a great terrace outside where you can see the world pass while facing the appetizer. It is a great concept, although you really do not need more food later! The prices of the boards vary throughout the city, but I felt € 15 for drinking a drink of their choice and the Aperient Board was quite reasonable.

Vucciria market

One of the three street markets in Palermo, Vucciria Market serves the crowd of the night when the streets become an animated place for drinks and food. It makes no sense to be bkew here on which bar you choose, take a cheap beer and go directly to the main square.

SICILO FOOD & VIEW 360

In the upper part of the rinant Palermo, an department store, is one of Palermo’s best kept secrets with, in my opinion, some of the best views of the city through the San Domenico Piazza and the Chiesa Di San Domenico. Sicilo Food & View 360 is a modern restaurant / bar that has to do with views (a bit of saying what you see with the name …). I enjoyed a Peroni at lunchtime here and, to my surprise, I was practically empty. Certainly, it is worth drinking here the views despite the fact that prices are a little higher than expected.

If you want another big bar of the roof in Palermo, go to Seven Restaurant at the top of the bothciatori hotel, although unfortunately, since I felt very badly understood, I decided to walk directly!

Punk Funk and Bar Discs Store

I ran into this bar on my way back to my b & b as a means of a storm relief and I am very happy to have done it. As a chance, this was enough, the most of the bar of the brand in which I could have found me. I took a beautiful bottle of cold beer while enjoying the family comfort of floating through record boxes; S&M Airlines by NOFX a particular prominent point. There were more records up for sale, although unfortunately the store was not open at the time I visited. This is a great bar to relax, enjoy good music, good drinks and buy some records. Don’t worry, it’s not just for punk children!

Ojdå

Last but no minimum is Ojdå; A restaurant/ultra hip that was absolutely buzzing every time it passed. On Sunday I visited, there was an emerging flea market that sold vintage clothes. Almost everything Palermo had decided to fall! During the day, when things are a little quieter, it is more a coffee with crossings and coffee, but at night you can ask for high quality food along with natural wines and beers, of course. Ojdå is very fashionable and I love it!
