Monochromatic cities: Melbourne – Jamiechanchravels

The queen of all colors is black. Black and white photography is simple but full of soul. Without distractions, seeing a city in monochrome allows the approach to be in lighting, in textures, in contrast. I have been filming much more of my black and white photograph (specifically yellow acros jpegs for Fuji lovers) and is the perfect way to see a city with a completely different light. Cities and people acquire a completely different person and mood when all the color is eliminated.

This publication marks the first in my online exhibitions/collections that I call ‘the monochromatic cities’. Pretty by itself, but here I will share collections of black and white photographs of cities around the world. It would be terrible from me not to start with my first love, my number one, the number one city of Australia; Melbourne All these photographs were taken towards the beginning of my trips in 2017 (it can be said!) But they transport me in an instant some very good moments.

I hope everyone enjoys looking at these photographs as much as me. These are monochromatic cities: Melbourne.

Part II: Manchester
Part III: London
