Let’s go out to the streets of Copenhagen. Here’s a collection of my photos from four nights in the city with the family!
I really enjoy posting these posts because it’s a great opportunity to share all my photos from a trip without being subject to the negative effects of social media. I can share all the photos I love no matter what others might think about them. I love the fact that I can create a collection of photographs that will hopefully inspire others, whether they are visiting the same particular location or those who are intrigued by what Fujifilm cameras and their lenses help me achieve.
I visited Copenhagen in August 2025 with family, where we spent four nights celebrating my birthday and our first city break with two little ones. What you’ll see here is a mix of basic street photography in Copenhagen, as well as general travel shots of things I thought looked interesting – basically anything that caught my interest. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage any specific photo walks, so everything is simply captured as we wander around the city; You can imagine that’s not necessarily too conducive to relaxing street photography where you need to get right into the zone.
If you are thinking about going to Copenhagen, you may need to check out my posts on the best things to do in Copenhagen and also my 25hours hotel review.
My ‘On The Streets’ series takes us around the world with short posts that focus solely on my unique style of travel and street photography. The series will never be complete, but here’s a look at what I’ve covered so far:
Well, now it’s time to take a virtual stroll through the streets of Copenhagen with a special treat in the form of a quick day trip to Malmö. This is my take on street photography in Copenhagen and I hope you enjoy it.
STREET PHOTOGRAPHY IN COPENHAGEN
THE DETAILS
In terms of details, I used my Fujifilm 23mm).
It’s a great combination of focal lengths that you’d probably immediately think, Jamie, why the hell are you just using a standard zoom lens? 18-55mm covers all my favorite focal lengths for a city break. That would be sensible, wouldn’t it? I love the Fujifilm 18-55mm f/2.8-4 but I prefer the 18mm/35mm/56mm combination despite the constant change of lenses and I can never leave the 35mm f/1.4 at home. You might want to read my celebration of five years with that lens here to see why!
I thought I’d add something extra here too; a breakdown of how many of my final images were taken with which lens:
Total – 666 images
18mm – 128
35mm – 154
50mm – 33
56mm – 74
X100VI – 277
It’s interesting to see that, at least in terms of focal lengths, I preferred the 23mm, which I have always found a good balance between the wider 18mm and the narrower 35mm, especially for cities.
Finally, if you want to know exactly which Fujifilm recipe I used to create these images, you’re in good luck. I used my ‘Negative Summer’ recipe with the finishing touches described in detail here.
