Curious to know what it is like to stay in one of the most luxurious hotels in the world?
This is my review of the Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore!
For those who have been following my trips, they will know that Emma and I went to Singapore on our return from Australia. While we were there, we spent two nights in an Airbnb to fully concentrate on exploring before our last night stayed in the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
If you have ever seen photos of Singapore, it is very likely to recognize the Marina Bay Sands hotel. With its three great towers connected by an elevated platform, it looks strangely to a cruise, but contains one of the most famous hotels in the world. Not only that is the home of the largest infinite pool where you can swim and contemplate Singapore. By wandering by Singapore, you will marvel at this architectural jewel from all angles, but it is what is inside! I have to admit that staying in Marina Bay Sands was on my list of cubes, so there was no way to visit Singapore without staying there. As you can imagine, for a 5 -star hotel in this caliber, that one night was not cheap, but honestly worth it! In addition, you can only get access to the famous infinite pool of the Marina Bay Sands hotel if you are a guest.
My review of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore
Marina Bay Sands Hotel
The hotel opened in 2010 and cost the amazing construction of $ 8 billion. However, the entire complex contains a shopping center, a convention center, museums, restaurants and the largest atrium casino in the world. There are more than 2,500 rooms ranging from the ‘basic’ garden room to luxurious three bedroom suites. We opted for the garden room at a price of approximately £ 400. However, I have seen the prices much lower than this; I suppose we do not reserve so anticipated, although we do reserve directly through the hotel.

Register
While I was in Singapore, we sent an email to the hotel just to see if we could arrive and potentially register before the time of the 3 pm given. If you are there for one night, the 3pm seems quite late to register! Fortunately, the hotel was absolutely well with him and, by the time we arrived at the lobby at 10:30 am, there was a tail of other registered. This is not like a normal hotel; The lobby looks more like the exits area at an airport. Staff members who help him in each step of the road; Leave your bags there, register there, collect your two mile rewards card in the opposite direction. You get the jist.
Thanks to good planning, we had explored both Singapore and we wanted to see in the previous two days, which left a full day to take advantage of the Marina Bay Sands hotel. Although our room was not ready at 10:30 am (who can blame them?), They gave us key cards for immediate access to the infinite pool. Now we are talking.

The infinite pool
No matter how many photos you see, nothing can prepare for the first time to put your eyes on the view on the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. A pool, like none that has seen before, seems to float in the air before simply merging with the top of the skyscrapers in the distance. I think a staff member even had to help prevent my jaw from hitting the floor.
Then, as always, reality sinks and you realize that it is actually quite busy. As I said before, there are more than 2,500 rooms. If each one had two guests, there are 5,000 people who want to have their own portion of the perfect infinite pool. So, it was difficult to obtain a solar bed and there are many children (fortunate in their own pool!), But he never felt dominant. While we waited for our room, we realized that we had left the sun cream in our luggage. There was no shadow, apart from under a few palm trees, and I was burning faster than you can say “Hey, why is that man so red?“So we decided to return later. We made a complete walk through the sports port and returned to an email that indicated that our room was ready.

Our room
Our room was on the 39th floor of Torre 3. As soon as we opened the door and put our key card in its slot, the curtains opened revealing the ‘garden view’ that would be waiting to see. I thought we could have seen the popular gardens next to the bay, but I did not realize that we would essentially be aware. I should have clicks on that garden view means that you look at the famous Superese Grove, the two vaulted conservatories, as well as the Singapore Strait. The sea was absolutely full of tankers and commercial ships, which was a show in itself; And it is not surprising.
While the city’s sight rooms are more expensive for obvious reasons, it would have to be very lucky to get such a high room that blocks the complex below. I have seen photos in which you are basically looking at a concrete roof. With a sight of the garden, it is actually very quiet and even had a small balcony to highlight. The room itself was traditionally decorated to which the hotel rooms these days, although it was very spacious and elegant. The bed was a good size and the bathroom was also beautiful. If you have paid this for a hotel room, why would I want to leave?

Back to the infinite pool

Equipped with the sun cream, we return to the infinite pool for the rest of the day and practically we stayed in the water until we were covered with wrinkles from head to toe. I could literally lean on the edge of the pool and look on Singapore every day of my life if I could. I also glad that my camera was climate resistant, what I took to want it to probably be good to enjoy the pool with us. You will have to bring your camera, since there is a lot to take photos, including the classic photo of looks.
We stayed in the pool all day filling our water bottles and not buying drinks since we couldn’t pay them! We could even see the sun directly in front of the hotel. Be sure to return to dawn too, since it is very quiet. It is also worth jumping in one of the jacuzzi who face the opposite direction and look at the gardens next to the bay.

Where to eat and drink at the Marina Bay Sands hotel
While there are many restaurants at the hotel and the shopping center, we chose to walk through the Grove Superree to Satay next to the bay. Leaving the hotel to the gardens is a bit of a mission and, sometimes, it will feel as if you are in a maze, but, once you are out, it is just a few minutes on foot. It was our last night in Singapore and we wanted to experience more of his scene in the market of street vendors. We opted for fifteen marinated meat skewers with a Satay sauce, which is one of my five main things to eat in Singapore!
There are three roof bars at the Marina Bay Sands hotel, all worthy of its time. When the CE la Vie Sky Bar was reserved for a private event, we descended some levels to the 55 quieter club that had floor -to -ceiling glass windows overlooking the bright lights of the city. It is worth seeing from Marina Bay Sands at any time of the day, but at night, with all the lights, well, there are few cities that look so good.

The SkyPark
Last but not least, the Skypark is located at the north of the roof platform. This is accessible by anyone for a rate and it is worth doing, even if you do not stay at the Marina Bay Sands hotel. You get the same view as any other person without the high price and the pool. However, if you are a guest, admission is often included for free. You can see more from here than you can really from the pool, so don’t miss this!

The Shoppes in Marina Bay Sands
When you stay at the Marina Bay Sands hotel, you must visit the commercial complex that is intertwined with the hotel; The stores. No subway center is this. Probably the dream of all shopping enthusiasts, this complex has everything for everyone, especially for those with deep pockets! There is also a food court that really has a reasonable price, so you really don’t have to venture too far from your hotel room.

Would you recommend staying at Marina Bay Sands Hotel?
In a word, yes. Definitely! I appreciate that it is expensive and that not everyone can pay it. However, if you plan to visit Singapore, I would lose it seriously. The way I would recommend doing it is as I did. Singapore deserves more than a stop, so reserve in an Airbnb or at a hotel at a more reasonable price and explore for two or three days. Then, for your last day/night, stay at the Marina Bay Sands hotel and you will feel like royalty. This is luxury and something else. I promise you will not regret it.
