After the publication last week, we have passed from Ubud to Seminyak. As I said, Seminyak is described as a luxury tourist city. In my head, I imagined something similar to a European complex with good walks. Delusions.
The hotel
We stayed at the Jambuluwuk Oceano Resort, a four -star hotel near the beach and the famous beach club of the potato head. The photos looked really good. The main pool seemed attractive but not as good as the infinite pool and jacuzzi on the roof. I mentioned that I didn’t have one, but two swimming pool bars? When we arrived after a manic hour by car in the streets of Bali, the hotel was like a quiet shelter. Unfortunately, Check-in’s time was not at 1 PM, as he said in the reserve, but an hour later. There would be no rooms to the point at 2pm. We take this opportunity when they go on foot and orient yourself in Seminyak. Well, what I imagined that Seminyak quickly went from my head. Maybe I had prepared for disappointment, but I was far from my idea of a luxury tourist city. There was construction everywhere. The taxi shout in Ubud had been replaced by taxis of blue birds constantly pitinating for their attention. Godforte, decreases the speed to try to cross the road, since an infinite amount of taxis will crawl and stop just along you praying to enter. If I am sincere, it is also much dirtier than Ubud. I feel that it always seems negative in many of my blog posts, but I really just want to show you that trips are not always glamorous. The places we are traveling through the armchair on Instagram are not always perfect for the image, since people would make you believe. I want to convey that it is fine that I do not like the places where the whole world seems to be angry. Anyway, the weather was good, so we planned to relax in the roof pool once we registered at the hotel. Finally, we got a room, although, when the curtains opened, it turned out that we had no balcony and looked directly at a nightclub. A quick search on Google told us that the nightclub was inaugurated at 11 pm until 5 am but not in our first night. The room itself was a bit in poor condition; Nothing like official photos were shown, but I think everyone is accustomed to that now unless you are prepared to spend hundreds of pounds per night. Oh, I just remembered, the connection door to another person’s room was open. That would have given our neighbors a scare. SURPRISE!
Time to relax
The plan for the week was mainly to relax as if he would on a ‘normal’ vacation. We really didn’t want to get tired of more tours and bring ferries to other islands. Just a simple week of sunbathing, swimming, food and some beers. We spent our first night in the beautiful but badly called Wobar at the W hotel. Directly on the beach, we saw the sunset from the sofas under the flashlights. The best part of this was the 2 for 1 cocktails in the happy hour, including free snacks and a free pizza! This is in a five -star hotel and works cheaper than many of the other places. We are still talking about Aud $ 16 for a cocktail, but you just have to arrive on time for the happy time.[easy-image-collage id=2584]I will not go into too many details of the rest of our time in Seminyak, since you would probably get bored. I will sink so you can look at the beautiful photos. On day two, we sunbathe, but we had only brought 15 SNCREAM factor with us. I have no idea why we were using Factor 50 in Australia and we still got a healthy tan. I burned in a short time obviously. I have never been burned by the sun in my life! My face, neck, chest, arms, stomach, legs and ankle were redier than a beet. This caused a lot of pain and I am still peeling while writing this about two weeks later. Once the nightclub opened, we don’t sleep much at all. Is there any need for so much low? The cleaning was not too good to clean the room. Well, the clean room does not worry so much, but only a fresh bottled water that is promised. Normally it was around 5 pm that the room was cleaned and even that took repeated phone calls to the reception. The hotel was willing to move, but only after spending four nights in that room! We also ate a really good meal thanks to some blog posts, but mainly TripAdvisor. I love TripAdvisor! Nothing too strange either; Banana flour waffles, fried chicken with honey butter, roti with curry of Malaysia, pizza in a rock bar and baos. For those who do not know, Baos are like Chinese hamburgers, but the bun is steamed.[easy-image-collage id=2585]We also took a taxi further north to Canggu, which had a much more relaxed atmosphere. It was full of surfers and some small great bars. Old Man is like an institution and the lawn is the perfect place to see the sunset. We pocketed the main seats on the roof, we ate four meals, while I felt that my legs were on fire. Thanks sunburn. If you ever go to Seminyak, just try to avoid Saturdays and Sunday night. If you like the idea of an Australia Malia or Maguluf, then you will love it. It is not even destined to be so bad here. Kuta, further south, although in the same built area, is where it is! He is so busy on these two nights that he had been driving from Canngu to the hotel for an hour, which, I think, was a trip of approximately 6 km. Before finishing, I also need to say that I saw a scene that would not have been bad in hangover movies. Simply walking casually down the street, occupying the path of traffic, dodging the scooters on the roads, when I see a monkey in a strap outside a tattoo store. The owner was relaxing with his monkey. It’s not great for animals rights, but becomes strangest. On the table there was another, one that I thought was not real until it picked it up. A real crocodile. He only sat there with his mouth open. It is not bigger than saying your doll at your side, but what will it do when it grows up to ten feet long and wants to eat it for breakfast? Crazy country.
Continuing … again
Make this land again
In general, my Bali impressions have not changed. The bars in the elegant hotels and beach clubs are very pleasant, but, honestly, you cannot polish a Turd. This could be a bit brutal since the Balinese people are some of the most charming I’ve met. They never stop smiling and seem so happy. But why would I want to reach a country obviously from the Third World to pay Australian prices (practically) for drinks and pretend that it is paradise? I forgot to mention that the sea in Seminyak is classified as unrelated wastewater? I will write a publication later on the Bali side that is not shared just to be honest with you. Anyway, that is all for this publication, we go to our third country, which is one of the only three states of cities in the world; Singapore. I always wanted to visit here and I look forward to something more built and advanced. We have also treated ourselves at one night, possibly the best hotel in the world! Thanks for reading as always and I’ll be back soon.P.S. Here are some more photos …
