April 30 to May 6
Hervey Bay A Bundaberg
I’m afraid I don’t have much to say about this update. It is week seven of Australia’s return and we need to recharge our cash. Seven, seven started with a one -day trip from Hervey Bay to the world’s largest sand island, Fraser Island. Or, as the aboriginal people of the carnicela call it, paradise. This was something that we both expect for a while and it is one of those things in the desire list for each trip of the east coast. We fix them to see much of the island despite visiting just for one day. I have gathered a separate blog post that you can read hereAnd see more photos of our day. On the tour, we are a couple of our age (finally) that were on vacation from Germany. They made the day much better that we all get along very well. Unfortunately, they had reserved a tour in Whitsundys for two days, which meant they had an eight -hour trip the next day. Maybe we can see them again when we reduce that trip from Berlin.[easy-image-collage id=1893]We probably had one of the best days so far in Australia and everything was topped when, while looking at sunset waiting for the boat to leave, we saw a Dolphin pod swimming in the bay. Suddenly, just in line with the golden reflection of the sun, the dolphins began to jump so high of water. Beautiful. After Fraser Island, we returned to Maryborough for a free night. Interestingly, Maryborough is the home of Mary Poppins! I bet you didn’t know. The city is based on its links in silence, but, the most obvious of everything, they are the symbols of walking/not walking in the traffic lights. Of course, they are Mary Poppins and her umbrella.[easy-image-collage id=1898]The cost of the tour to Fraser Island was not exorbitant, but we had a free time to earn pocket money. Bundaberg is the place to which most travelers are going to work. Otherwise, it would probably not be a stop point, since it is a bit a diversion from the road. It didn’t take us for a long time and, on Wednesday, we started delivering yellow pages. Our truck was filled to the edge with those little yellow books. The first day, we do not even get rid of them, but we still manage to gain more than we did while we collected fruits. Just a little more, we are talking about something like 50 ° C per book delivered. Eventually, we obtained some decent farms where my skateboard was useful. We would enter about 300 books on a five -hour day. Fortunately for us, we do not deliver any “exclusion” address, since it would receive a fine of $ 200 immediately! It is not very fun this week unfortunately. Sometimes it is difficult without a stable income, but, if I was still sitting on my desk, I would not be here seeing Australia. I cannot promise too much update for week eight, since, guess what, we have to continue working! Navigating the Whitsunday Islands is the following on our list and seems to take care of about $ 600 each.Totally not related, but does anyone want to buy my photos? Until next, thanks for reading!
