Hotel review: The Queens Hotel, Leeds

[ad_1]

The Queens Hotel in Leeds is the most emblematic hotel in the entire city. After a recent transformation, the Queens Hotel has returned to its best moment And this is my review of a stay during the night.

The Queens Hotel It is a historical milestone, an icon of the city of Leeds, and I am here to show him exactly why he needs to stay here on his next trip to Yorkshire.

I visited Leeds many times while living on a short train trip in York between 2011 and 2017. Every time I arrive or leave Leeds, the Queens hotel will receive or undulate. The Art Deco Grade II building with its large white stone coating dominates the square of the city of Leeds has always filled me with intrigue. However, I have always wondered what it was like to stay there, to be honest, I always thought it could have been a bit disappointing.

However, it is 2022 and the Queens Hotel It is back with an explosion. After a nine -month restoration that costs £ 16 million, this hotel is somewhere where each visitor must remain at least once. The hotel has maintained its Opulence Art Deco and added a touch of modernity and class everywhere.

With a visit to Leeds planned to see the Wonder Years touring his new album, there was only a place that Emma and I wanted to stay.

There are 232 renewed rooms at a high level and we stay in a superior suite with a view to the city square. The square is currently experiencing its own renewal, but the best views are in the front rooms. Well, I could opt for one of the rooms with its own terrace if you have a larger budget.

Staying at the Queens hotel in Leeds

We arrived at the hotel with a cold and very humid on Tuesday afternoon and it was enough to leave the streets to heat up. He immediately greets him with huge Chesterfield leather sofas in a cave like space, with little light, except for the extravagant spider lamp on his heads. The staff made us feel welcome, of what I take note now, since it can often feel out of place, the highest stars rating is a hotel. The best brands for the goalkeeper talk to remember our names as they left the next afternoon.

After a soft registration process, we headed to our rooms (an hour before the time of Check-in announced of the 3 pm for a few minutes we were the main characters of a new Wes Anderson movie. 1.37: 1 relationship and everything.

Our room was on the sixth floor and, as I said before, ignored the city square. The room was huge, I didn’t expect a hall and a small living room. There were some small pretty touches in the room that walked a long road; Obviously, the free mini bar, a chocolate bar, a gin station, a Nespresso machine and a copy of Men’s Health that served as a reminder that I must start exercising again.

The Queens Hotel It is ideally located to explore Leeds and, therefore, after a short break, we returned to the rain to enjoy a night without children. It was also perfect for us to go to see some live music for the first time from COVID-19 and have a baby. We relax with drinks in the room before walking to the place (in the union of students of the University of Leeds). The return walk was faster knowing that we had a very comfortable night in front of us.

Finally, breakfast was included, which is sometimes easier and less complicated than going out to eat something. Breakfast was lovely with many options available, but, of course, it had to be a complete English.

The room in which we stayed offered to a discount rate rate, but all opinions and views in this publication are definitely mine.

Leeds prominent

As had spent so much time since we visited Leeds, we extracted some of the most prominent aspects of the city, such as the exchange of corn, the Kirkgate market (the largest covered market in Europe) and we had a beer in Headrow House followed by Ramen in House of Fu. The day later was supplied by the coffee of the impressive mosaic coffee and the institution that is the espresso of Layne.

Get here/parking

If I visited the Queens hotel, it would definitely travel by train since the hotel is just a few steps from the train station. There is even a separate entrance from the station itself, so you don’t even have to venture outside if the weather is not excellent (after all, this is Yorkshire). This time it was not profitable to catch trains (the return of £ 80 of Durham is a scam), so we conducted and parked in the Sovereign Q-Park Square in Swinegate. With this parking lot, you can pay directly at the hotel for £ 15 for 24 hours and is just a short walk.
