2018: a year in review

[ad_1]

Well, I can’t believe that we are here with only a few remaining days of 2018! I will not lie, but the last year, until August at least, it has been my favorite so far. The year began with fireworks in the port of Sydney, followed by a road trip in the middle of Australia and a fast period in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.

Since August, I’m afraid there really has been nothing notable. He took much longer to settle for the English way of life than he thought. Actually, I’m not sure I resolved. I have managed to find a desktop work (with flexitime) that is helping to build my bank balance to go back. At least for now, the opportunities to travel have slowed down.

However, what is clear is that I want, maybe I even need, continue visiting new places and keep moving forward.

My highlights of 2018

It is very difficult to reduce this year in just some prominent aspects, practically impossible, but here are some that are definitely at the top of my list:

Buy with the blue mountains

Snorkel The Great Barrier Reef

Seeing Dawn in Uluru

Rest in the best infinite pool in the world

The year as a travel blogger

This blog now has just over 12 months and has grown from somewhere just friends and family visits to something that has real follow -up. Well, a small tracking.

I am still in the first days of the blogs, but I am happy for the 15,000 visits during the last year. Taking into account that I have only published 69 times, that is not bad. Thanks to each person who has visited my blog this year and, hopefully, next year it will be even better. Maybe next year can reach 30,000?

Ah, and I have been nominated for the best blog in the United Kingdom in travel and photography categories.

My five most popular publications of 2018

I have taken a look at the statistics and these are the publications that have attracted most of the views. I knew that my publication in my camera configuration would be the most popular; He is literally crazy in Google right now!

My Fujifilm Jpeg configuration

A photographic walk through Venice

The Bali side you don’t see

THE GREAT SWITCH: RAW A JPEG

Prague doesn’t let him go: my favorite Prague photos

What follows?

Now that I am back in England and in a lot of need for money, it is likely that the next few years will be a bit different. Emma and I planned to buy our first house and we are in the process of solving our wedding.

The need for money at this time has had priority, but that does not mean that we are not going to travel yet. There is no doubt that we will take advantage of most weekends in the United Kingdom and the breakdown of the city in Europe. We even have some planned long distance breaks (and one reserved!).

I still flatter and share my photos, but I could be at a slightly slower pace than normal.

Thanks to all those who have stayed with me in this adventure and continued to support me! I know who you are!

I hope everyone had an incredible Christmas. All the best for everyone for 2019 and safe trips!

Jamie
