To say that 2019 has been an occupied year would be euphemism. Both Emma and I turned 30, we bought our first house, we visited Edinburgh, Cork, Crete, Florida and Guernsey and, most importantly, we finish the year with our wedding.
We only begin to plan the wedding in July, so, as you can imagine, it has been quite stressful, but I cannot imagine a better way to finish the decade. Together with all that, do you remember the work that had just begun in November last year? Well, now I am working as a lawyer again in a completely different area of law that, at least at this time, is very rewarding and I love being a lawyer again.
Life after traveling can be difficult, there is no doubt about that, but things are just about starting to fall in place and I feel very established at this time.
My highlights of 2019
This year there have been so many outstanding aspects this year, most of which have not found their way in blog posts, but, so I have managed to write this year, these are my most prominent aspects:
Visit Edimburg for Emma 30
Explore wedding places in Crete
My first press trip to the Lumiere Festival in Durham
The year as a travel blogger
My blog now has just over 2 years and continues to grow despite the fact that it has really been in the background this year. Shame, I have only published 18 times this year, including this small annual review!
My goal for this year was to reach 30,000 visits that would have been a 100% increase in the previous year. Well, I am very happy to say that somehow I have managed to reach more than 85,000! How crazy that is! Recently I have added ads to the site, which may not seem aesthetically pleasant, but is beginning to generate some cash to help me continue executing this website. On the side, I also started selling Travelstock photographs,Sale of impressions And even shooting weddings. Maybe one day photography is my main source of income …
My five most popular publications of 2019
Looking at statistics, these are my most popular publications this year. Those who attract most points of view are definitely those related to my cameras and photography in general:
My Fujifilm Jpeg configuration
Fujifilm’s Classic Chrome for Travel Photography
Astia de Fujifilm: Versatile movie simulation
What is in my camera bag?
The ten best things to do in perth
What follows?
Next year it is certainly much colder than this year, which I am eager to really want. The plan until now is to go to our honeymoon with luck a few breaks in the city to Europe. We hope to finish decorating our new house and that’s all. Maybe even have time to publish more here; I’m aiming at 52 publications, so wake my luck!
Thank you again to everyone who read my wandering or enjoy my photograph, it really means a lot to me and makes everything worth it. I hope everyone had a great year and all the best for 2020!
Jamie
