In 2021, I spent an autumal weekend in Wigwam Holidays Forcett Grange In one of the 12 glamping accommodations with my wife and my Cockopoo, Chester. Located approximately halfway between Darlington and Barnard Castle, just above the A66, the lodges are within an old historical quarry that is combined with wildlife. We saw many rabbits and squirrels, although our dog Chester kept thinking they wanted to play with him! The tranquility and tranquility of Wigwam Forcett Grange’s holidays is absolutely perfect for a relaxing weekend.
The Lodge At Wigwam Holidays Forcett Grange
We stayed in one of the newest shelters in Wigwam Holidays Forcett GrangeThe setmaker, complete with a well, table and banks and, most importantly, a wooden hydromassage bathtub. You could immediately say that this was going to be a cozy weekend, especially with the smell of firewood in the air. The Scandinavian jacuzzis are preheated for their arrival, which is such a pleasant touch, which means that it will not wait too long before your feet get.
We discovered quite fast that the setmaker and the other 11 accommodations are more than a home away from home. I was pleasantly surprised when we opened the main door, I could not believe how spacious the shelter was. There were two double beds taken (very comfortable!) And an individual bed too, which means that it is perfect for families, since it adapts to up to five people. With his own bedding, he will feel at home immediately. The wet room on the back of the shelter was also huge and the shower was more powerful than home! This is glamping at another level; You will not get all the modification cons offered here in some hotels or apartments!

As the check-in was at 3 pm, we decided to make the most of the shelter and, therefore, we cook our own tea. We were a fresh food of greeting and I managed to cook it in the fully equipped kitchen. You have a teapot, induction plates, fridge, microwave and all the pans and utensils you will need. If you do not feel like using the kitchen, the Firepit can also be used to cook with a BBQ grill that can rotate on the top of the flames or simply for smooth and simple Malvavisco toasted.
A great positive point was the lack of telephone signal and not Wi-Fi. I am sure that I cannot be the only one who currently feels that everything is relentless at this time and my God felt good to go out. I got an old DVD to take me and I am not afraid to admit that both seasons of Phoenix Nights were seen again during the weekend.
Given Wigwam Holidays Forcett GrangeYou can expect very little light pollution, which means that you can get such a clear view of starry night sky and, if you are lucky, the Milky Way. I cannot think of much better ways to spend the dark autumn nights than in a hydromassage bathtub, listening to owls in the nearby forests under one billion and a stars.
Despite being classified as a low season, he felt that autumn was the perfect time to visit; The light chill in the air increasing the level of comfort. In a low season, you are watching only £ 149 per night in a weekend and, even then, in the high season it is only £ 20 more per night. It is not bad considering what is included here.

Time to explore
Wigwam Holidays Forcett Grange is perfectly located to explore the border between Yorkshire and Durham County. In just twenty minutes, you can get to Richmond, Barnard Castle and even Raby Castle. We decided to visit Richmond for the second time, since it was years since we had been. Richmond is a charming market city in Yorkshire Dales with many independent stores and pubs as well as waterfalls and a castle. I have included photos here from Richmond, but if you want to read more about Barnard Castle or Raby Castle, I have also included my publications about those.
Another advice is to have a meal in the White Swan in Gilling West, where this traditional pub has influenced Spanish cuisine by developing its new menu; You can’t lose!

An autumnal weekend in Wigwam Holidays Forcett Grange was exactly what we needed and there is no doubt that we will return in the coming years; This is definitely a new favorite getaway. A special mention is for Ant and ed, the owners, who are very friendly and welcoming.
Our stay at Wigwam Holidays Forcett Grange was complementary, as always, all opinions and opinions are mine.
