The best Sydney walk: bondi a coogee

[ad_1]

When it comes to Sydney, the largest city in Australia, no traveler will have to do things to do. Far from the hustle and bustle of the port and the opera, there is the best Sydney walk; From Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach. There is a reason why this is one of the best things to do in Sydney. The views are absolutely impressive. The beaches are beautiful, not to mention the cliffs, the rockpools and the turquoise ocean. It could even detect migrant whales if your time is right.

While many walkers will not walk beyond the Bronte beach, I promise you that you only improve when you go to the full 6 km to Coogee Beach. You will need decent shoes, a reusable bottle (there are many places to recharge with water) and a hat and will not have problems reaching the end.

Bondi Beach and the icebergs

You will start your walk in the world famous Bondi Beach. The beach itself is smaller than I imagined, but continues to attract tourists and local for the sun and waves. At the southern end of the beach is the Bondi Icebergs Club with the historical bathrooms where swimmers have been turning for more than 100 years. Once you have admired the view (you will be doing a lot of that) and take the mandatory photos, it is time to start the best Sydney walk.

Tamarama Beach (1.2 km)

Of all the beaches in southern Sydney, Tamarama Beach is probably my favorite. It is incredibly narrow, but its pristine sand extends to the park. However, no matter how tempting the sea can be seen, do not take off your shirt and dive. This beach is actually the most dangerous patrol beach in Nueva Wales del Sur, although the waves attracts enough surfers! I prefer to look from the cliffs anyway; There are probably sharks there!

Bronte Beach (1.9 km)

In my opinion, another beautiful beach, better than Bondi, and a perfect place to stop in a coffee to have coffee or a brunch if that is their things. There are also a lot of free electric barbecues in the park if you thought in advance and you took your food. The best brands if you did, there is nothing better than a juicy hamburger in fresh Australian air. If the food is not on the agenda, just admire the views and raise the hill.

Waverley cemetery

Pressing that you will pass (or next to Skybridge is complete) surely the most picturesque cemetery in the world. There are more than 100,000 people buried here and there are some important names, including the best poet of Australia, Henry Lawson.

Just before arriving at Clovelly Beach, you will also spend one of the most picturesque bowl courts in the world. You would think that I am exaggerating with all this The most picturesque in the world Things but, seriously, I say it seriously. Bowls is very popular in Australia (so much that we spend three full days with Australians) and I cannot imagine wanting to play in another place more than in the cliffs overlooking Tasman.

Clovelly Beach (4.1 km)

From Clovelly Beach he went to Gordons Bay to Coogee, this was the most difficult stretch for me, since the heat was scorching and the slopes were steep. Simply keep your head down for this section and continue imagining icy beer at the end of everything. While I did not capture any photo, I remember vividly the huge glass buildings that must cost a small fortune. How does the other half live huh?

Pavilio Coogee (5.9 km)

Whether you have checked the walk or a sweaty disaster, at this point I can guarantee that you will never have seen a more cozy scene. Once you go out on the eyebrow of the hill, you will see the beautiful Coogee beach stretched in front of you with the inalcanado roof of the Coogee pavilion. That is your ultimate goal. Once inside the pavilion, climb the stairs to the roof bar, ask for a beer (or two) and relax knowing that you just completed the best Sydney walk.

How to get there and from the Bondi to Coogee Beach Walk

If you do not stay in the immediate area of Bondi Beach or Coogee Beach, you will soon discover that it is not so easy to move through Sydney. To get to Bondi Beach from the center of Sydney, he will first have to get a train (East Suburbs and the Illawarra line) towards Bondi Junction. Once there, go to bus 333 at Stand A3 and this should give the faster travel time to Bondi Beach.

After his walk, he will have to take bus 353 from Coogee Beach and that will take him back to Bondi Junction to access the trains. If you need more information, this place You should help! Don’t forget your opal card!

In my opinion, this is really Sydney’s best walk and maybe even one of the Australia. If you are visiting Sydney for a period of time, this has to be one of the first things you do! It will certainly be one of the most memorable things you do! For more good things to do in Sydney, see my guide here!
